Why landlords should book energy assessments with Owene EnergyDid you know that from October 2008 you will have to make an energy performance certificate available to prospective tenants along with gas and electricity certificates? Yes, it is another expense (though tax deductable) but the good news is that EPCs last for 10 years. Properties must be assessed by a fully qualified domestic energy assessor and, although you do not have to carry out any recommended improvements to the property's energy efficiency, prospective tenants will surely favour landlords who do.
